British Mensa offers support to parents and educators of highly able children through its Gifted Child Consultant and longstanding partnership with Potential Plus UK. On its support page the organisation explains that the Gifted Child Consultant works with Mensa to create support programmes and events for people living and working with highly able children, including one‑to‑one consultations, workshops and summer schools. Mensa emphasises that its consultant has advised government departments and local authorities on gifted education policy and has over forty years’ experience in special needs and gifted and talented education.
