Se piensa que la <em>creatividad<\/em> est\u00e1 relacionada con las funciones orbitofrontales que gobiernan la <em>toma<\/em> de <em>decisiones<\/em>, como el control inhibitorio, la evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos-beneficios y la aceptaci\u00f3n de l\u00edmites y reglas, dado que estos procesos preparan a uno contra posibles escenarios. Objetivo: En este estudio, se investiga la relaci\u00f3n entre <em>la<\/em> <em>creatividad<\/em> y la <em>toma<\/em> de <em>decisiones<\/em> para comprender las necesidades de los <em>estudiantes<\/em> <em>superdotados<\/em>. M\u00e9todo: Se llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio descriptivo transversal con <em>estudiantes<\/em> <em>superdotados<\/em> (media de CI = 133) de 8 a 10 a\u00f1os (<em>n<\/em> = 25). Instrumentos: Se emplearon el Test de Imaginaci\u00f3n Creativa (PIC) y subpruebas de la Bater\u00eda Neuropsicol\u00f3gica de Funciones Ejecutivas y L\u00f3bulos Frontales (BANFE-2). An\u00e1lisis: Se realiz\u00f3 un an\u00e1lisis de correlaci\u00f3n de Spearman entre las puntuaciones normalizadas de BANFE-2 y los percentiles de PIC.     Resultados: Se encontraron correlaciones moderadas entre la flexibilidad creativa\/narrativa y el porcentaje de <em>toma<\/em> de <em>decisiones<\/em>\/riesgo (r = 0.432, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.05) y la <em>toma<\/em> de <em>decisiones<\/em>\/eficacia de respuesta (r = 0.426, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.05), as\u00ed como entre la <em>creatividad<\/em> gr\u00e1fica\/sombra y color con la <em>toma<\/em> de <em>decisiones<\/em>\/eficacia de respuesta (r = 0.452, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.05) e inhibici\u00f3n (r = 0.673, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.01); se encontraron correlaciones negativas moderadas entre la inhibici\u00f3n y la <em>creatividad<\/em> gr\u00e1fica\/t\u00edtulo (r = \u22120.570, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.05) y la <em>creatividad<\/em> gr\u00e1fica general (r = \u22120.489, <em>p<\/em> \u2264 0.05). Conclusiones: La <em>creatividad<\/em> en <em>estudiantes<\/em> con superdotaci\u00f3n intelectual se ve favorecida por una relaci\u00f3n con las funciones orbitofrontales.
