Denise Yates

Denise Yates is the Chair of The Potential Trust and a prominent advocate for children with high learning potential and dual/multiple exceptionality. In her biography on the trust’s website she explains that she has worked in education and training for more than forty years, including ten years as Chief Executive of Potential Plus UK (formerly the National Association for Gifted Children). Since 2017 she has focused on ‘hidden potential,’ supporting individuals and families to remove barriers related to social, emotional and mental health issues, SEND, HLP and DME. She serves on various boards, co‑authored ‘The School Handbook on DME’ and continues to champion opportunities for high‑potential children.
