Shouping Xiang

Shouping Xiang is a mathematics professor at the University of Science and Technology of China and a national-level distinguished teacher who has long served as a teacher and mentor in the Special Class for Gifted Youngsters. He explained in the media that the average age of students in the Special Class is 16 to 18 years old. The university does not pursue the youngest age possible, but focuses on their innovation ability and learning desire. He emphasized that the education in the Special Class values the all-round development of students, and there is no such thing as forced growth. The aim is to provide these students with a platform to display their talents.
